Tye’Shai Evans

D.O.B.-September 3, 1998
I grew up in Santa Maria, CA and lived in Lompoc, CA and Lancaster, CA. I graduated from Delta High School in Orcutt which is 5 minutes from Santa Maria.

People know be by Shaii or Shaii Da Mac. The name was derived from my birth name Tye’Shai and I added Da Mac because I always thought I was a “Mac” so it stuck with me.

One major event that has occurred in my life was being shot in the face at 14 years old. This event made me into a person that doesn’t care much about things. This could be both good and bad. It’s good because once it happened I focused all my energy on music and bad because I stopped playing sports. If this hadn’t of happened, I’m not sure what I’d be doing now.

I’ve been in entertainment since I was 5 years old. I didn’t start taking music serious and being an artist until I was a senior in high school. I received a lot of props from my peers for my music, videos, performances and having an outgoing personality. Many people say I look like T-Pain, Chief Keef and Keenan from Keenan and Kel.

I decided to become an artist because I have several family members that are involved in music. I look up to my uncle who’s been involved in music for many years. My influences are Mac Dre., Drac Loc, The Jacka and many more.

My cousin is Magnolia Chop from New Orleans. He is famous for being on Birdman’s album and did the hook for “Out the Getto.” He has also worked with many artist from the Bay Area.

My life went from being in high school and hanging out to being in the studio, going to different cities and meeting new people. In 10 years, I see myself being a platinum artist, being wealthy, still doing music and owning my own business.
