Mixx has been involved in music since the age of 11, when she began playing the flute. By the age of 13, she had also learned to play the piano, tenor and baritone saxophones. At 19, she began transitioning into singing at church. Mixx recorded background vocals on gospel projects and also landed roles in musical theatre performances. After performing in a Rock Opera called ‘Joe Bean’ (written by Mark NIchols c/o The Really Big Production Company), Mixx was invited to sing background for a musical group called ‘Caela and the Dangerous Flares’ in 2003. The group toured and performed throughout WA for numerous weddings, corporate functions, private parties, and festivals; The Moisture Festival and Strawberry Festival specifically. Mixx began pursuing her solo career in November 2014 and has, thus far, performed for two events at Maxim’s in Seattle, WA; SHE By Chi and the Ladies First Showcase. Mixx is currently working on her first album, projected to be released in Summer of 2015!
